When blue turns to night
And I have books to read ,
And you have essays to write,
I know we should both get some work done.
But crickets are still singing, fireflies are still dancing,
And why shouldn’t we?
Just stay, let me read you these verses,
I want to know what you think—how happy I’ll be if you smile.
I want to run in this laughter together.
And walk with you barefoot outside on the grass.
And when we come back
I want to hum softly together…
Until we fall into silence.
